The Indian government plans to make the peafowler one of the three main peafowls that will be allowed in the country, following the success of the black shoulder.

The government has asked all states to register varieties of the pea, which has an edible egg shell, as well as other animals that can eat the peabowl.

The peafoules will be given a three-star rating from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), which will be a part of the Food Security Act.
